MA-500CMA Non-Nucleonic Online Coke Moisture Analyser
General Description
The
MoistScan® MA-500CMA coke moisture analyser is custom-designed
for accurate real time analysis of moisture in highly conductive
met and pet coke. Traditional microwave transmission is not
suitable for use on highly conductive materials as it is
difficulut to pass a signal through the entire burden on a
typically loaded conveyor belt. Further the conductivity of coke
has a non-moisture effect on the microwave signal which needs to
be measured and compensated for. The MA-500CMA employs a
combination of Callidan Instruments patented microwave
reflectance and magnetic susceptibility technologies. The
MA-500CMA creates an analysis zone within the lower profile of
the burden The strength (attenuation) and speed (phase shift) of
the microwave signal and the conductivity of the coke is
measured to derive accurate real time data on moisture
variation.
